The Family Under the Bridge
Well, we finally reached the end of the book. This book was really slow but it had a great ending! It's about 3 young children and their mom who have no where to live. They live under a bridge where they meet another hobo. This hobo has been a hobo for his lifetime and has no desire to change, but when he meets these children he learns to open his heart.
Some meddlesome women find the children and say they will take them to a home, but the oldest daughter knows better and tells the old hobo about it. He takes them to live with his gypsy friends with their mother. But when a policeman comes to find one of the gypsies, the gypsies think the worst and take off.
So now they have no where to go. So the old hobo decides its time to become respectable and do the honorable thing. If you want to know what the honorable thing is....read the book! (Or the last chapter! LOL)
Now we need to pick a new book for our nightly reading! I have a whole bunch of books for her to choose from, so we'll see what she gravitates towards now! Happy reading!
I've heard this is a good one from my friends doing Sonlight but that they liked Boxcar Children more. Reading is just so much fun!!!
ReplyDeleteYeah...T couldnt wait to get to the end of the book but I wanted her to learn that you need to finish things even if you dont like to do it. So we finished the book. It was painful though! She thought it would never end.
